3D printing from CXI TUL created unique festival trophies
31. 7. 2025
Unique trophies created at CXI TUL using 3D printing were presented at this year's VW Festival in Harrachov, where lovers of historic Volkswagen cars met.
At the end of May, Harrachov became the scene of an exceptional event, the legendary VW Festival took place here again after a quarter of a century. Over 500 cars arrived, from iconic microbuses or beetles to old Porsches, and clubs from the Czech Republic, Germany, Poland, Austria and Italy met here. There were also traditional elegance competitions.
CXI TUL added an original dimension to the festival. The 3D Technology Department created design cups created using 3D printing, which were subsequently treated on the surface with paint. 3D printing thus once again showed its potential for creative and personalized creation. The trophies combined modern technology with the character of a traditional automotive event and became a worthy award for the winner.
"It was an idea I had in my head for a long time. We turned champagne bottles and inserted them into 3D printed parts, creating these glasses," says Libor Horáček from CXI TUL. The result was something unique that the participants will remember.
