NANOPROGRESS + CXI = 15 years of innovation that didn't end up in a drawer
23. 10. 2025
At CXI TUL, we focus on scientific results that don’t stay locked in the lab or buried in publications. That’s why we build partnerships that allow research to be applied in real life. For us, that’s exactly what the collaboration with NANOPROGRESS is about.
“When companies, researchers, and a cluster join forces, it creates an environment that drives innovation. And most importantly – those innovations actually make it out of the lab and into the real world. That’s exactly what the cooperation with NANOPROGRESS brings,” says Prof. Miroslav Černík, Director of CXI TUL
From idea to application
Together with NANOPROGRESS, CXI TUL is working on developing a biofiltration system and nanofiber structures for air decontamination and deodorization. Whether in industrial environments or sensitive healthcare settings, we can design solutions based on functional nanomaterials.
Another joint project focuses on water. At CXI TUL, we’re exploring how to use nanofibers to eliminate micropollutants – substances that are typically hard to remove from water. We’re developing special sorbents, testing their effectiveness, and bringing them closer to real-world use.

Research that doesn’t just sit in a drawer
At CXI TUL, we believe research only matters if it leads to something usable. Our collaboration with NANOPROGRESS allows us to aim research directly at concrete applications. It also keeps us flexible – constantly adapting methods, experimenting, and seeking new paths.
Sharing know-how. And gaining access to projects
One of the big benefits is participating in the Cooperation – Clusters program. It supports collaborative research involving companies, clusters, and research institutions. The result? Strong interdisciplinary teams with a real chance to succeed internationally.
“The Clusters program brings new knowledge, increases innovation capacity, and significantly moves the involved partners forward. We highly value our cooperation with CXI TUL,”
says Luboš Komárek, Chairman of the Board, NANOPROGRESS
New challenges keep emerging – and we want to be there when the answers are being found. At CXI TUL, we have the know-how, top-notch facilities, and the drive to create functional technologies for the future. But without connection to business, industry, and other research partners, we couldn’t move forward this fast or this effectively.
