Project:
The use of advanced additive steels to streamline the production of thin-walled products with a low carbon footprint
Registration number:CZ.01.01.01/01/24_063/0006166
Realization period:01.07. 2025 – 30.06. 2028
Leader at TUL:Ing. Michal Ackermann, Ph.D.
The aim of the THINCAST project is the research and development of functional parts of Osprey MAR-60 moulds in the field of shape-complex thin-walled zinc castings using modern technologies of additive manufacturing, heat treatment, surface treatments, numerical simulations and hot runner technology, including validation under operating conditions. Another objective of the project is to develop a predictive model of additively manufactured material behaviour using artificial intelligence.
