Green CXI TUL

The project aims to connect CXI's environmental and social pillars. We want to plant suitable perennials, climbers, and grasses in the space next to and in front of the "L" building. The area is not significant (about 50 m2 in total), but it is essential for our Institute. We are a representative part of TUL, and since we receive Czech visitors almost every day, several times a month, and foreign visitors, it is a space that deserves its care. The planned project is not complicated at all: 1. approaching an expert (focus: advisory and consultancy work, preparation of an expert study and planting proposal) 2. personal visit to the site (consultation, joint discussion) 3. preparation of a planting proposal (i.e. suitable plant species for the area in terms of soil type/sunshine, their meaningful distribution/density, planting method + proposal for the treatment of the remaining surface of the area); we will require a planting proposal (preferably maintenance-free) 4. purchase of suitable plants/soil/bark/chips/etc. as per accepted proposal 5. planting action (by own efforts as part of CXI staff team building, however, with professional supervision of the consultant) 6. monitoring of plant condition, possible follow-up consultation and advice The result will be (from a horticultural point of view) a properly planted space that has been previously uncomfortable, and that will be pleasant and "eye-pleasing" for the following groups of people.
