Stanisław během své vědecké kariéry navštívil mimo jiné University of Guelph (Kanada) a University of Cincinnati (USA), kde prováděl výzkum procesů založených na síranových radikálech. Podle databáze Scopus patří mezi 2 % nejcitovanějších vědců na světě a je držitelem ceny Publons 2019: 1 % nejlepších recenzentů v oboru Environment and Cross-Field. Je členem redakčního týmu např. časopisů Chemical Engineering Journal a Desalination and Water Treatment (Associate Editor).
Byl také vedoucím projektu GAČR jr, který získal v roce 2019 (excelentně hodnocen v roce 2023).
